The Hermanus Wine Route

The Hermanus wine route is situated in an area of Hermanus known as the Hemel-en-Aarde valley; which directly translates into English as "Heaven and earth Valley". Bartho Eksteen has produced a number of outstanding quality wines and is a favourite amongst those visiting Hermanus wineries. The tastings room at Bartho Eksteen winery is open daily and will prove to be a treat for wine connoisseurs and appreciators alike.
Bouchard Finlayson has earned an excellent reputation amongst visitors to the Hermanus wine route. A few minutes away from the sea, this Hermanus winery is most reputed for its sumptuous Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc wines. Bouchard Finlayson winery is open for tastings and sales. While you are discovering the wonders of the whales and wines make sure this Hermanus winery is on the agenda.

Whalehaven is a family-owned, boutique Hermanus winery with an excellent reputation for its Pinot noir, Cabernet franc, Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon. 
Hamilton Russell Vineyards is the oldest Hermanus winery and is open to the public daily for tastings in the gorgeous cellar.
Cape Bay Wines, Sumaridge and Beaumont Wines are other examples of fine Hermanus wineries and are also open for tastings.
Hermanus wineries are located in the beautiful Hemel en Aarde Valley and are exquisite locations for tastings and leisurely lunches.

All the wines from the Hermanus wineries are available at the Wine Village. Stocking wines from more that 300 South African wineries, estates and cellars the Wine Village in Hermanus is a wine lover's delight. Like the rest of the Hermanus wineries the Wine Village is open for tastings.
